U.S. Department of Justice Selects
Veratad Technologies, LLC to Testify
in ACLU Challenge to the Child
Online Protection Act (COPA)
Englewood, NJ October 2, 2006 –
Veratad Technologies LLC, a world

today that it has been selected as a
fact witness by the United States
Department of Justice to present
testimony on the effectiveness of
online age verification in the
ongoing ACLU challenge to the
constitutionality of the Child
Online Protection Act (COPA).
Veratad is expected to testify
sometime in November 2006 as part of
the Government’s effort to show how
online age verification can be a
highly effective tool in restricting
underage access to adult content on
the Web. Veratad’s IDresponse
Privacy Processing Platform has been
providing responsible Age and
Identity Verification Services that
protect children from online age
sensitive content since early in
2003.
Veratad’s AgeMatch and IDMatch
verification products can identify a
user online with as little
information as a name and address.
